    Y-split for Castle link

    Hello

I was wondering if this work and that is using a y split for my castle link so I don't have to unplug my esc every time ? Something like this

I think you have to buy the one from Castle. It has a very small circuit board at the split. It's about $12-13 and it does what you're trying to do. I have it installed on 2 of my 3 castle powered trucks. Works great.
What broke, uh, needs upgrading now?

I have the Y-split from castle aslo. I have one on almost all of my truck and it sure beats the heck out of tearing into the Rx box to have to make changes.

Castle Link Quick Connect Part # 010-0079-00
Experienced modelers go to great pains to tie down their servo and throttle leads, and some find unplugging a Castle controller from the RX disrupts all their work. Many have asked for something like a Y connector that gives an open lead for easy Castle linking, but a traditional Y harness doesn't work when the other branch of the Y is connected to an RX, the signal line must be disconnected from the RX.

Castle Quick Connect does just that. It detects the presence of a Castle Link adapter on the free lead and switches the controller's signal line from the RX to the Castle Link. Easy as that.

Follow the Connection Diagram (found on the inside of the package) when connecting the Quick Connect. Don't forget to use the included piece of heat shrink tube to secure the ESC lead to the Quick Connect

When I was finally able to find it. I ordered a half dozen of them for all my trucks. I think I waited a month or more for them to come back in stock. They arent totally cheap but with the Tower discounts it helped with the order. Since I've installed them wonder how I made it without. Makes it toally easier to update settings to the ESC without having to bust into the Rx box and all that stuff. You know laziness to make a settings change. Heck not only with a PC but even with the Field card.

+1 to what digger said. U just gotta get the Castle one. Its like 10 bucks. I got one, tried to mount it to my pede, but there just wasnt enough room in the waterproof box, even with a tiny reciever, to store all that extra wire and keep it clean looking. Im still fiquring a way to hide the wiring, and having that stick out to be able to take my programmign card with me, and make on the fly changes.

No worries there I'm running a slash chassis with no receiver box so room isn't an issue.

The Slash chassis has tons of room. No problems for wire placement. I fed mine where the servo wire goes through the battery tray and comes right out the passenger side perfectly.

I going to place an order for a few of these when I get paid. They sound like a great idea.

Just some advise for everyone. DO NOT PLUG THE CASTLE LINK INTO YOUR COMPUTER WHEN THE TRUCK IS TURNED ON!!!
I found this out the hard way and it fried the circuit board on the castle quick connect.
