TQi docking station price!

Hey Guys,

I wanted to upgrade my TQi from the non dock version to the dock version...

So, I searched eBay and found that it costs more than $40!!!

I think it's overpriced, this shouldn't cost more than $30... So, no dock for me now...

I agree! i was tossed up over the options for the tqi.....when all is said and done with all you need to buy for the extras.....if you go with "another" brand...the "other brand" radio feels more solid.... just my opinion...i love traxxas though!

I don't like to compare, but I don't think a small amount of plastic, an iPhone/Ipod connector and a few wires are worth $40... I can get a complete transmitter with the dock at that price from an eBay auction if I have some patience...

Yeah the price is ridiculous for what it is, just a plastic base with an iPod/iPhone connector and ribbon cable. I paid $43 for mine on eBay, and another $50 for a used iPod touch. I will say though I don't regret getting it, the TQi with iPod is awesome. It's by far the best radio I've ever owned, much better than the Spektrum DX3s I sold to buy it.

I must admit. I'm very happy with my TQi and docking base too.

Very easy to use.

... the way I see it is; I go to the bar and spend $25 in gas, then $50-75 on food and booze. $30 or $40...... who cares, the TQi base lasts a lot more than one simple night at a bar. It's relative, and if all it is is a connector and some wires... make one yourself?
