Tq receiver and tqi transmitter?

Hey all,

I took a quick look and couldn't find if the tqi transmitter will work with the tq transmitter. Anyone know? It would be great id ask I had to buy was the tx.

my understanding is the tqi transmitter will work with the tq receiver, but you wont get any of the telemetry sensors until you upgrade the receiver as well??
