    Battery storage and truck storage?

I'm sure its been asked before, but where do you guys store your trucks and batteries? I've been keeping everything in the house in the AC. Are my trucks ok out in my garage? I plan to keep my batteries i the house but here is what I'm wondering is does anyone keep their batteries in the fridge? I know it sounds crazy but i thought hey maybe people keep them in there?

lipo's benefit from being stored in a fridge if you won't be using them for a while, however it's MUCH more important to insure they are at storage voltage, 3.85 volts, before storing them for an extended period of time. I would try to store your truck indoors as well if possible...fluctuating humidity and temps can take a toll on it over a period of time.

Fridge storage is dangerous - you never know when a hungry teen will try to unwrap the "power bar" and take a bite!

Seriously, LiPos are like potatoes: store in a cool, dry place and you'll be okay.
I know they're having their break there by your brake drums. No, you're not invited.

Just to clarify, not fully charged (4.2 volts) or fully discharged (3.2 volts) ...you want them at about 3.85 volts per cell if they will not be used for an extended time.

So it is okay to store the battery in the fridge! I told a buddy of mine this and he looked at me crazy and said i was going to destroy the battery. I tried to explain to him how it would extend the life of the battery but he gave me a puzzled look. I started to worry but if im not the only one then i guess its okay.

Cold temps slow the chemical reaction down that is slowly consuming the lipo's usefull life. That's why a lipo will not feel as strong when your running in freezing weather vs warm weather.....but storing them fully charged will ruin them far quicker than any ambient temp will effect them.

Ok so I should store them "dead" and charge before I run them even if I start running them daily? ALSO since its my thread i'm stealing it .... I'm running SCT 3800 mamba max pro with the 1410 esc can I run a say 5000mah 20-25c 3s in that setup without any problem?

You should store them at "storage" voltage, not dead. Personally, I don't worry about it unless I think it will be a week or more before I plan to use them again. I've had packs puff on me when left unused but fully charged for 3 weeks before but there is no set number, you have to research it and decide what your comfortable with based on the info available.

You should be fine with those battery specs in a slash.

Give the shocks a rest when not in use and put it on a stand.
