Besides the unwanted pant job of the previous owner, what is the condition of the body? scratches, folds... etc.
I ask because it may not be worth the stress of trying to take off paint from the body. Keep in mind that to remove paint, you may have to use chemicals that may harm/melt the plastic. hence the stress after doing all the work.
Just my opinion. But you can try acetone, easy off oven cleaner, paint thinner (although may not be the best idea).
You can also try brake fluid, sometimes works.

Or brake cleaner, that stuff is basicaly acid!![]()
DeWalt 1/8 Summit, Slash XL-5, Slayer Pro 3.3.
Brake fluid works well. Let it soak for a day should wipe right off
Beatings will continue until compliance is gained
According to Jang you dont need just plain old brake fluid, you need DOT 4 brake fluid!

The body looks good minus the bad paint job. it came with a clear body but i have plans for that one. I wanted the painted body for bashing and want it to look somewhat respectable instead of this turd brown color it is now
Depends on the paint used. I traded for a car one time and the guy used krylon fusion on the outside. The funny thing was he never painted the inside. There is a reason though that they call that stuff fusion, it does not come off very well. It pretty much ruined that body, it was good for bashing though.
