i use integy steel telescoping drive shafts it is the only integey thing i own they work great and are very strong and inexpensive. this is only product fron integy that is worth paying 29.95 for if you go for traxxas hd slash/stampede ones make sure all the parts will work together ie out drive, drive shaft, stub shaft.i made that mistake once

It depends on how you define best.
Best as in best price/quality? Get the HD shafts like rhardy60 said. You need quite some power to be able to ruin those.
Best as in best quality? Look at MIP, Tekno or FLM.
Not sure about Integy, but looking at erx4x4's experience, that might be a choice in between.
    Nobody is born with experience.

Yeah those Slash HD Shafts are pretty tough. Have yet to snap one. Only thing I worry about is at the output yolk I get gravel build up and it tends to shred anything less then steel lol.

Do you have problems with breaking shafts or are you looking to upgrade for the sake of upgrading?
