    This a problem?

When I opened my front diff, it had some oil in it, but it definitely was NOT full to the brim. Should I refill it to completely full? Or is it supposed to be like that stock? I never saw any leaks after any runs, so I dont know where it all went, or if it just dissipated. what is a good oil for mainly bashing with some speed runs and maybe track-time once I get into it?

If you run on pavment, like I do, try putting in a really thin diff oil. I use grease, not oil. It helps on pavment, to not flip it and it gives you a really tight turing circle!

The thicker the diff oil the more positive traction affect you get...

In my experience if you still wanting to do speed runs or ride on tar the thicker oil will be no good for you. Are you running 4 or 6s?

I run 50k front and 30k rear as an all round setting...this works well for me.

When I open my diff cup, even after a few runs the cup looks a lot less full that what I packed it with.

I fill the carrier about half full & then put the gears in, top it off, then let all the bubbles float up. When you reassemble the carrier you should have diff fluid comeing out the last screws hole. You are defeat the purpose if you don't fill it full & get the bubbles out.

Why? Revo has so much power, it can make it diff with the blip of the throttle, even with 120K...
I like a little diff, to help with tighter turns, but hear again blip the throttle & it will spin right around.
If all wheels are not pull the truck forward, & two wheels diff'n you are going no where fast....
JMHO.. but to each his own...driving style, location etc..etc all factor in.....

I tried it about a month back when I rebuilt my diffs. I found for me, and my driving style the 120K diff lube horrible. It made my truck hard to handle and under accelaration on the dirt the truck was all over the place. It was even worse on the tar...when I accelarated the truck started bouncing all over the place. I absolutely destroyed the tread on my rear tyres on the tar with 120K diff lube. Maybe I didn't give it enough time to get use to it and adjust my driving style to suit.

After a couple runs and front and rear stripped diff I went back to what I had been using for a while. 50K front and 30K rear...I think it had a lot to do with the way I use my truck as I like the power of 6s and to go fast all the time ...thou I am changing and have recently bought myself a set of 4s. I am tired of destroying diffs . Haven't warmed up to the idea of the losi conversion yet

CM, we share the same thoughts, I just scooped some matching 2s batts and im going to start using 5s and if I still have issues I dont know what ill do. The losi diff seems like the ticket, but seems a little outa my league, so im going to hold that off as long as I can...
