it's true. As soon as you gone 3S, there's no return to the 2S
btw, what was the gearing at this video ?

Did you upgrade your drive shafts? As soon as I tried the 3s battery I twisted my drive shafts.

Greg: Yes the shafts were upgraded in this video to mips and if you look at another one of my videos you will see what happened to them later on in the day....they snapped going off a jump
Desert Jato: I believe the gearing was 22/54 but if I find out the actuall I will let you know

Edit: Yes it was infact 22/54 32p gearing

No problem yes I was running the vxl system it gets really hot after a couple passes but we let it cool down then run some more.
A castle system would definetally be better for this but the vxl works so why fix what isnt broken (yet)

Wow that's high. The highest I go is 23/83... assuming you're running the velineon system.

Some guys run 26 or 28t with their Rusty's on stock tires and velineon systems, but I don't go over a 23t pinions except for speed runs, then I space out the runs and check my temps.

I'd recommend a heat sink or an FLM transmission to keep your temps down for higher gearing.
