CC SVT 3800 is a NiMH killer

I love the CC SCT 3800 system, lots of power, lots of speed. The one thing I do not like about it is what it is doing to my NiMH batteries. I monitor the temps after every run, the motor is around 130 deg, the ESC is around 115 deg, my batteries are around 180 deg. This ESC just pulls too much power... looks like it is time to upgrade to LiPos...

If you are considering this ESC/motor combo, think about the batteries you have, or going to get...

I think asheck's monster thread on the subject (complete with Eagletree graphs) sounded the warning klaxon on that a while ago. 180°F on the packs? That'll do them in sooner rather than later.
Pick up some nice SPC Racing 5000s, 54000s, or 6000s. You won't miss the NiXX packs.
I know they're having their break there by your brake drums. No, you're not invited.

    I missed that one...

I was sticking to NiMH for all my RCs, except for my crawler, because they were cheaper and fine for bashing. But, lipos are geting very reasonable, so I'll pick up three or four packs, looks like my Hyperion will start earning its keep. This means I have to reprogram my ESCs...

Yep Castle loves AMPS. Your jaw will drop when you run a LiPo with that combo. There is just so much performance gain its crazy.

    Love the RC Proverb KSB

only because i want to buy this combo, i have a trx 7600 lipo, if i get this combo, will it run good or better then the stock brushless system? I'v been thinking of getting it for about 3 months. I have the mamba max pro esc but cant get it to bind with the radio. not important.

but will at 7600 2s trx 25c ( rated ) lipo do good with this combo?

You should be ok with that pack.

    Mah x "c" / 1000 = A

    7600 x 25 / 1000 = 190A
