new to boating plz help me
I have a spartan boat I received on a trade. Its a good boat there is just some stuff I can't figure out. It turns faster one way and the trim is still set in the middle on remote. Then when u try to take off fast it just don't seem right it won't throw. A roost untill u go for a min then when u turn while hitting gas hard with nimh batts it loses all momentum and it just won't take off fast.
Ok first off, it turns faster one way versus the other because of the offset rudder, that is normal.
If you try and hammer the throttle it will probably cavitate a little bit, that is normal. The Spartan is best driven with a gradual acceleration to wide open throttle (WOT). By hammering it off the start, your going to wear the driveline components out.
If your using NiMh batteries its not going to have the same top speed or acceleration as upgrading lithium polymer packs (Lipo's).
Lastly, I reccomend spending some time reading the threads in this forum. Most of your questions probably already have answers.
Good luck and have fun with your spartan!
You may also look at your strut angle, it should be level or slightly positive, pointed up.
