I recently got my 3905 Maxx up to the new 3908 models specs. Great truck, love how it performs. I took it in a little dirt track down by a school (no kids) and had some nice jumps going. It was bottoming out pretty badly, new skids were super scratched after a few jumps, I put a couple of preload spacers in, it helped but not enough. Front end snapped off and broke the steering rack in the process. My front bulkheads didn't break because their aluminum. Plastic skid plates: gone. Plastic steering rack: gone. I may just have to get the Pro-Line Maxx Steering kit. As for the skid, I've decided to upgrade them to GPM aluminum (front and rear). Next on the list is aluminum bulks in the rear, and rpm arms and shock towers. It should be pretty tough after that, correct? Because this truck can handle very little without upgrades. My question for you guys is: will all the upgrades I mentioned make this truck jump able and bash able? And one last thing, what is this trucks purpose? I know it's a monster truck.
Whats funny is jetlag222 says in one of his videos that the e revo is a racer and the e Maxx is a basher. Doesn't seem my e Maxx is up to the job. Anyone else agree?
