E-Maxx 3906 traxxas steel center driveshaft question

Ok guys I know I've asked this question a few months ago, but I noticed on tower hobbies that there are 2 part numbers for the steel center shafts for the older versions of maxx trucks. The first number I found was TRX4949R made for the older #4909 tmaxx (I also have a 4910 tmaxx) and the length of those 2 center shafts are 3.34" (85mm). And the other part number I found was TRX4951R is 3.5" (89mm) and the price is $34.99. The TRX4949R is $38.99. I have a feeling my LHS ordered me the TRX4949R instead of the TRX4951R. What my question is, would I still be able to use the TRX4949R shafts on my 3906? Thanks for any info. I just want to make sure I purchase the right parts for my emaxx.

Probably not my shafts (I got of eBay) are 84mm and there pretty close to being to short I think 85 or 86mm would be perfect but 89 would probably be to long IMO

Are the inner out put yokes that come attached to the dog bones have a smaller hole and won't fit around the ends of the output shafts. Does traxxas or any other manufacture make output yokes to fit dog bones?

    What diff are you using?

I would figure that it would be a direct fit, unless you have modded diff's

Part #4951R is a bolt-in on a 3906. It can be a little tight to get them installed and some had to unbolt the tranny, install the CVD's and bolt the tranny back.
Traxxas does make longer outdrive yokes for the Revo that fit the EMaxx. Most dogbones should fit most output yokes.

I got my 3906 used with CVD's that were questionably short, after I tore down the transmission one of the CVD's was actually too short, I bought the extended CVD cups for the revo and it works fine.

If all else fails, KD makes a great center dogbone kit for both the new and the old MAXXs

These are what your looking for. I'm using them and they are keeping the CVD's inside great.

So I bought the revo extended cvd cups installed. I noticed that the rear dog bone is shorter, and doesn't reach the cvd cup. I think I might have them on backwards.
