That sounds awesome. I used to love rebuilding brushed motors. You could cut speed gems a lot before the arm was not good.

Is that a direct fit? I have no idea. Its a cheap fix if its not anyway.

    Good luck, and post pix!

The 5086 is not a direct fit, you will need to cut a good amount of the chassis out

I ordered the 7105 1/16 brushed revo, the one with the Titan 12turn 550 size motor. The trinity is a 540 size motor.

It should be a direct fit, the only thing I'm worried about is the shaft being too long, but if it is I can just cut some off. And for sure ill post some photos.

If you have to shorten the shaft, I would cover the motor with a plastic bag, with a tiny hole for the shaft to come out.

I had to shorten a motor shaft, and apparently you should do that so that the magnets inside the motor do not pick up any iron/steel filings, as having them on your magnets is said to reduce performance.

5086 is your servo... which Jim is correct; it is not a direct fit.
Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.

Either way you will be able to get it going with a few home tools and help from these forums.

I thought you were referring to the model number of the truck itself, not the servo, my bad.

Well considering that I've gotten so many replies in less than 24 hours I think I'm going to start an account dedicated to only E-Revos. I'll call it EverythingERevo.

First few Packs through the E-Revo

Well yesterday and today I ran a few packs through the E-Revo, performance of the SpeedGems Emerald motor is fantastic with 23/50 gearing, and the HS-5086WP performs great too, however in order to install the Hitec i had to grind away a large amount of the chassis unfortunately. Here are a few pics, i'll make a video tonight and post it tomorrow.

Hey kyle - on photobucket, select the pic, click the "IMG code" selection (bottom selection) - it will copy the image link path, then when you paste it here you get the image, not the link name

Dude - voila' - ya got pics!!!

Don't worry about grinding the chassis - they're cheap - and it's fun to make it your own - good job on the pics, they look great

Oh i know that well, I've been into RC for almost four years, I've had a rustler, micro desert truck, micro highroller, 1/16 e-revo
VXL, e-maxx, nitro rustler and now a brushed 1/16 e-revo. But now the only truck I have is the brushed e-revo I originally
    posted about.

    Video Update

i tried to make a video but i need either a cameraman, or a way to mount a camera to my transmitter, all i have is a small tripod now and anyone who makes rc videos knows that means crappy, boring shots...
