Decisions Decisions... Help me to decide. Need opinions/direction.
I am new and created an account to get some sort of direction for what I want to do. All advice/opinions are greatly welcomed and much appreciated in advance.
I have decided that I want a brushless system. Not just one you buy RTR. I plan on using one of the trucks I currently own. I have a 3906 E-Maxx, a 3.3 Revo, and a 2.5 T-Maxx. I really don't know what to do, I've thought about keeping the 3906 as is because of the chassis and it's already electric which I get a Lil fun out of anyway. My personal choice of the 3 was the T Maxx 2.5 due to the more up to date chassis and suspension layout, plus I don't have to worry about always tuning this thing. It's by far the least fun due to its maintenance and tuning, it seems like a hit or miss trying to get it to run unlike the Revo or obvious E Maxx.
BUT I am now thinking that maybe I can use the Revo chassis and platform since its the newest and probably the one to last me the longest. If i did, i could just put the 3.3 motor on the T.Maxx and sell the 2.5 motor (keeping E Maxx same).
This is where yall come in and voice your opinion to help me decide.
BTW as far as the brushless system goes I'm thinking about the Mnster Mamba or the 550's with one of those how2rc mounts along with the other upgrades as well, such as centers, better gears, only forward kit and............................... Please feel free to finish this list by adding to it. Lol
Some feedback on the motor mounts from how2rc would be great too!!!!
I'm not up to speed on all the brushless systems because I'm running a big DeWalt brushed motor.
But... One common theme I see on this forum is that the stock 3906 E Maxx will not hold up to a brushless system. There are many threads about guys that have had to rebuild their entire drive train (Tranny to axles and everything in between) just to the brushless motor from breaking stuff.
I'd be looking at your Revo or T Maxx to make a brushless conversion. Or sell one or two of them and use the money for a 3905/03/08 roller and add the electronics.
Just my two cents.
Well thank you very much for your input on this M n M. I have made a decision and will begin to take apart my T-Maxx today when i get off. I honestly thought i would get more responses but i have done more research and if i stick with doing the T-Maxx i will have more room on the chassis then the Revo so T-Maxx it is. I will start a thread when i begin doing the conversion. Thanks for the help.

Get an E-maxx 3908 or E-revo 5608. They both mamba monster and both awesome trucks. Plug in and play with awesome power.
