Traxxas Blast - Rear fin?

So, I'm sure some people who own blasts like me have looked at the rear water pickup bracket, and wondered what the clip on that bracket is for. There doesn't appear to be a fin or anything in the box that is supposed to go there. Any ideas?

I think it's a carry-over part from their old Nitro Vee.

Upon more research, the Nitro Vee used the same part, with a stabilizing fin that fits in the mounting points

Well, i wonder if we'd benefit at all.

I don't think so, on the Nitro the fin is position at an angle perpendicular to the hull, ours is vertical however you can experiment

I actually ended up just adding two actual turn fins, and replaced and moved the H20 Pickups. Not sure how it will work tho, haven't been able to test yet. Here's some pics:
