Question, Whats the stock gearing on a slash 2wd?

Alright guys so i bought a 2wd slash roller at the track today, it came with front and rear RPM A-arms, 2 tires, futuaba servo, MIP CVD's Steel driveshafts, and brand new orange pro line body, paid 40 bucks, Well i took my velinion system off my rustler and the pinion and spur gear and put them on the slash but i just want the stock gearing that comes on all 2wd slashs, does anybody know what that would be? Oh and also it didnt come with a battery strap or esc mounting plate either, i just mounted the esc to the chassis itself, idk which mount i need? Thanks in advance guys!!

shouldnt need a mount for the esc. should screw right in. behind the battery. it should have come with a plastic piece to hold your battery down. it is held down via body clip. i think stock gearing is 48 pitch gears, 86 or 90 tooth spur and 19 tooth pinion.

13/54 is 32p gearing. You can use it on a 2wd slash by changing pinion and spur. Stock is an 83 or 86 tooth spur gear like he mentioned above.

Stock gearing is 19 pinion ,90 spur, 48 pitch. They also include 23 pinion , 86 spur 48 pitch in a little bag , for optional . I don't recommend 23 86 for the track neither does Traxxas, it gets hot. Those gears are for speed runs .

The stock VXL gearing is 83t spur 23t or 25t pinion, I haven't looked at my gears in awhile.

You'll need to buy a new vxl esc mount which fits just in front of the rear shock tower, and a battery tie down.

there are so many different tires you can run. go to the track and see what everyone else runs and see how there cars/trucks handle with them. or you can go to like prolines site and see the description of the tire.

There are two mounts, xl-5 and the vxl. Are you sure you have the right piece? The velineon esc should match up with the pre-drilled holes.

Here's a pic of my Rusty, your slash mount will be the same. On the second pic you will see the two screws that hold down the esc.

Did someone cut off the ears on your velineon esc? There should be two mounting holes opposite of each other that match up with my second picture.

Put the screws through the esc and through the plate into the chassis. It's been a couple yrs since i installed one... now I use castle and Viper esc's and they mount differently.

WAIT WAIT WAIT, STOP THE PRESSES!!!

I was wrong, yes I freely admit it your honor. The esc screws directly to the chassis as pictured above (your pics, not mine). Turn the esc sideways with the button side pointed to the drivers side and screw it down with your screws. Geez I had to pull out an old slash of mine that still had a velineon in it.

I'm confused.. 23/86 is stock and a 28 is included. How come is not recommended? I thought the included 28 was for speed runs (and the included chart says and shows higher speeds with that)?

There is a slot for the servo wire that runs under the battery. Run motor wires through the shock tower. I use small wire ties for the esc wires.

I run the stock gearing in my Slash and on stock 7-cell it is keeping up with the 2s LiPos even though they have more punch than me. I race on Sundays also, and on the back straight acceleration and speed is awesome for the type of track I race on.
