STRC LCG conversion, anything to look after ?

So after racing my slash on friendly bases against friends and customers i decided to convert the slash to a LCG chassis with a STRC kit.
It should be here next week.

Any things i need to have to complete the build or tips are appreciated.

you got the rusty stuff right. other stuff you should get is loc-tite blue and all the RPM stuff you can throw at it.
Then enjoy it will make a big differance in hadling. I love mine.
Also got losi springs for the shocks if you run dirt. red front orange back.

The directions on the strc site kinda suck. Just take your time.

Yes i have the bandit chassis from a parts car as we call it in the shop.
You know, when tou desperatly need a motor and esc or a roller for a customer...

So i have almost a whole bandit chassis, a slash vxl and a stockpile of traxxas parts of almost every model so normally i'm good ? :-))

Tnx for the heads up About the springs but i'm not going to use RPM arms, after the LCOG conversion i'm planning a proline protrack conversion to get every bit of speed out of it in the corners ;-)

That's a good plan. The only hard part for me was fitment of the Rustler servo setup because it was all new to me, I'm used to Pede's and Slashes.

Here are a few pics of mine. Last pic is a close-up to show how low it is now:

They are Big Blocks from ebay seller suprasales. They're actually 17mm buggy tires and really grip well on and off road.

I use AKA adapters from toadzrc and other suppliers. Just make sure to use blue loctite upon assembly otherwise a wheel will fly off about 200' down the street... they always fall off far away. BUT AKA sells parts for these separately in case you can't find the lost parts. LOL

The longer hubs go on front to even up the width because buggy tires don't have the same offsets as traxxas wheels.

STRC would also be a good choice.

I had a problem with the servo throw. The end hit the chassis when turning one way causing me not to get my full throw.

A little dremeling took care of that.

I ended up dremaling out both sides for max throw. I run 1/8 badlands on my strc lcg slash, those things have massive lugs.

Someone was talking about the steering setup, the slash one works fine, not sure about the stampede setup.
