    rebuilding shocks

im about to replace the bent damper shaft in one of my shocks. any advice before i start? the oil still looks clean should i reuse it? if i replace the oil i have 50wt. and im not sure what weight oil is in the other rear shock. will running different weight oil make that much of a difference? the shocks i have are the gpm big bores. thanks guys

Clean the shock off well before you take apart, and replace the oil. You should stick with the same oil weight for your pair off shocks.
