$200 buys a new one, so less than that...... maybe right around $200 if it is brushless

Rule of thumb used items are worth a base 65% of the total cost, unless they are in fair or worse condition.

But if you double post they aren't worth 130% for the record.

I saw a few on eBay that were sold for 325 in worse condition then mine. I was thinking mine would be worth around that. I have easily 400 bucks into it.

My rule of thumb is the odds and ends dont add to price just help you to sell it faster. I use 50% of new cost so I am thinking roughly $150.

If you are willing to take your time you might get more if you hold out for the guy who has $ burning a hole in his pocket and has not done his homework.

the merv gets such a low value compared to the 1/10 e revo brushed.... i see most of the time on here rtr it goes for 350-400 when new cost and can be had for about 470 tops. price people want is near new for those why not the merv? just a ? about that.

for what you mentioned to the OP i would say 250 tops. if it had more upgrades with would be better. it saves time, gas, cost, work for new owner though some like to work on it them selves also i do but if i want to work on it i would just take it off and then put it back on just for the fun it.

500 from tower with no batteries. RTR with lipo's you are looking at 600 dollars. 65% of 600 is 390.

Not tryin to be 'negative', just tryin to spread information.

the e revo comes with batteries already when buying new from tower hobbies. lipo most have already if not then its possibly cheaper to get your own instead of paying for the persons with either the merv or the e revo so you make sure they are balanced right and new and now how many cycles are on them or it. ooh yeah 444 on tower with a super saver discount if you have one if not then 494.97. =289.23/321.73. most want that for a used one with scratchs on bottom and lid. used is used.

merv at say 250 with upgrade and i mean upgrades and lipo would be priced right, if i seen one in good-excellent condition i would buy it at that price with lipo or without since i have some.

No a brand new vxl costs 309.99$ and a brushed cost 225.00 so $250.00 seems reasonable to me.

Well I would certainly try to sell it on these forums before Ebay then. Ebay makes you select "new", "used", or "refurbished". I just checked the "used ones" and there are 0 completed items. Good Luck!

yeah, but peopel are not willing to pay for someone elses used equipment... not when a nwe one isn't much more......

dadx2mj thinks $150.... so my $200 estimate was being 25% more generous!

with internet deals, you can easily get a brand new one for $250... yup, vxl brushless........

Well that is really good for you, not so much for the guy that bought it. No one is really wrong you asked for opinions and got them. Used prices are not facts like motor specs for example. You just got lucky and found someone willing to spend more for a used truck than he could have bought a brand new one for.

To be honest their website stinks, their search engine is terrible and finding anything on the site is a major pain. Also has you noted it has some miss information. The store itself is pretty nice though. My son works there they do sell the MERV for $279.95, when I posted the link it showed in stock they must have sold the last one today. They get Traxxas orders once or twice a week so they should be back in stock soon.
