No, Its about 5cm long...Once soldered together I put some heat shrink around it and then cabled tied to the red wire connecting to the ESC.

How are you finding the motor mount you used? I like the look of the tekno kit but I've seen the one you've used on ebay, it looks ok.

Looks like you've made a good job on the conversion, can't wait to complete mine!

how tall is your antenna standing? i have my antenna cut right after the metal tube due to flipping over without the lid on and the signal where just not the same, i cant get it any farther than 10 ft. so one night looking at the antenna and thinking what if i peel some of the black skin off about an inch so i did and guess what.... yep back to normal.

    can you see my antenna?

yeap...i can see it...my antenna is about half as tall as the body handle.

i've been playing with mine...got it running...but i just don't like where the esc is mounted on mine...it's mounted on top of the tranny...and it's one of the most expensive items on the truck...and i just don't want anything hitting it when it flips over...i love the position of ur esc...

the tekno conversion is nice...clean...but...dang...can they mount that esc some other place...i'm thinking that a better spot would be in front of the tranny between the shock mount...ever think of that?...

would have to make a plate with standoffs of some sort...

it can be done but you have to extend the motor wire to be able to reach that far. the green can motor wire is longer than the black can motor and tekno design it to mount on top of the tranny, maybe because of the handle bar act as the protector, i dont know. my design is something that just pop out of my head, lol.

alright guys, i got my e-mail respond from ebay seller about my 8007 RR steel tranny gear set and they said to contact/call Robinsons racing themself as its their mistake for packing it wrong, so i did call them and i explain it to them (very nice guy by the way) that i bought this RR steel tranny gear 8007 for revo 3.3 off ebay and for my understanding its suppose to be a wide gear set but with one particular problem, i got a 39t 2nd gear instead of 38t. i ask him what should i do? he said, we can replace that for you, just give me your name and address and you should have it within 3-4 days.

Where did you get the aluminium for your battery tray? I am doing a conversion now and was going to go your route or use the SCTE battery tray.

10.8lbs is good compared to my emaxx being 12lbs+ with everything on it. guess might be the alum wheelie bar working great.

I watched your videos on YouTube and all of them are ran without a body. If it was me driving the truck would be destroyed. You did a good job building your truck. I am converting a 2.5 with a 3.3 chassis and this thread is helping alot.

and since nobody took a bite on my for sale wheels/tires, so I decided to keep it and bought some side wall protector for it.
only going to use this when i go offroading,

well i did some light bashing today with the stocker wheels and lets just say it did'nt last long, my pinion screw came loose and shread my spur, not to worry i have some spare. on the bright side, i recieved my 38t 2nd gear from RRP.

pinion screw came loose and shread my spur,

I like to take a little off the flat of the motor shaft, seems to let the pinion screw get a better bite

blue loctite, good tip allen wrench, and get it tight......

so shaving off the shaft a little bit gives it more surface for the screw to bite more? is your pinion use a screw with 2mm or 2.5mm head? i have the 2mm headscrew and I'm always afraid to tightened mine to the extreme lol. my center front CVD i'm using a drive cup with a screwhead of 2.5mm and i have no problem tightening it.

2mm, I tightened or loosened (idremember) the pinion set screw was so tight I snaped the allen wrench.

my guess is that maybe the old dry loctite is what make me think its tight enough, i should start cleaning off the old dried out loctite from the screw then apply a fresh new drop LOL.

got my rr tranny gear in and did some test run, gear it 15t/38t with stock wheels/tires and its queiter than i thought, must be because i only used the 2nd gear and top gear the other two drive gear are still the plastic ones. FYI the RR 8007 FOC wide gear ratio is to be installed with your excisting fwd/reverse output shaft, not the traxxas FOC shaft.

reverse lockout, turned around the screw and use a locknut to hold it together, also i replace the bearing with a bushing instead, bearing is not needed as this dont free float.

bronce looking one, was used to be a bearing
