i always bring my RC with me to work incase i finished early, then i go run at a near by parking lot, but man its been busy for the past week and this week with a whole load of mail. and on top of that other co-workers at taking their vacation for thanksgiving and black friday, not that i'm complaining or anything, atleast i'm making extra money and i can use that towards finish my build lol. i've already banked some $$$ since i sold my spartan which is a good thing and that will keep me on the right track.

basically he bought the 40 series road rage tires and desperado 3.8 wheels. i was not comfortable gluing it so i told him to return the wheels and exchange it with something that tuck in the bead of the tires
prob a good idea, I think I have read awhile back sombody cut along the bead to make it work,
easier to get the correct wheel tire combo...
Would you go flip my truck back over??
is it just me or....... when i set my MMM LVD to 3.5V it does'nt count the cells. i dont have the USB castle link so i do it manually lol. when i run my rc i never let it go hit LVD so it does'nt matter to me if its set to 3.2V, i watch my run time then stop.
LVC I time my runs too, so in 30~40 min I still have 3.85 ish on a 9000 mAh batt..
So long as you are still set to auto it will or should count the ### of cells
edit when you power up the truck are the ## of tones the same ## of cells...??
second set of tones.......
Would you go flip my truck back over??
i'm trying to build an under tray to keep the air flow consistant to get rid of the drag and so far this is what i come up with (only a template).

i swap over my 36t spur just to see what the speed difference with 34t .........2 teeth really shows that the speed is a bit slower, so i put back the 34t.
i'm still thinking why my ESC, if i set the LVC manually it does'nt count the # of cell.

I was going to say why not just use the E-Revo chassis and stuff because it's all closed up compared to the 3.3 chassis. But i think thats cool that your going to use the X0-1 undertay.
Slash 4x4,
set the LVC manually it does'nt count the # of cell.
because when you do, you have to tell it how many cells you are going to be running.....
say 4s..... if you switch batts to 6s & don't reprogram in manual the ESC will not know you changed the cell count to 6s......
Refer to this to setup the Mamba Monster ( MMM ) esc for maximum performance:
CASTLE LINK GUIDE
Would you go flip my truck back over??
that sounds like it can only be done thru the castle usb link and not by doing it manually.
never tried with the radio, but prob......
Would you go flip my truck back over??
Something like that i think has to be done with the CC link. The only thing i dont like about the link it i have to remove the 2 rx box cover screws to get to my ESC plug.
Slash 4x4,
^ get a Y adapter & leave the tail out......

well, i could'nt help myself looking at the body scratches, so i bought another GT body for shelf display only lol. we'll see how long this body stays up in the shelf hahahaha. here are the colors i picked up at LHS, white, blue and yellow. ask me why i choose this colors....i dont know LOL.
They will be interesting!
So I have read this whole thread twice and a few others on converting the revo, I have a few questions. First I have read that using the emaxx or BL revo trans is better for strength, gearing and because the motor is mounted to the tranny so you dont have to worry about chasis flex. Do you have any gear mesh issues? Also I was wondering why you went with the e-revo diffs, are they stronger? Ive converted a few buggies and truggies and wasnt going to convert my revo but I cant get a new era mount for my .26 so I am going to convert it!!
well..... first off, thank you for your patients for reading it twice lol. anyway, i choose the e-revo diffs because its much stronger than the revo 3.3. the e-revo diff have a "I" beam inside that gives it more support to the BL's monster torque motor.
e-maxx or e-revo trans are built for BL motors, yes..... but, with the revo trans you have 3 options to choose.....you can either gear it short 40T, standard 39T, or wide 38T. now in-order for the revo trans to withstand the power of BL motors you have to use RR steel gears. i choose wide gear ratio which is the 38T 2nd gear and locked it inplace inroder to be able to run it foward/reverse.
Do you still use the 3.3 bulkheads or do you have to use the e-revo bulkheads? Also have you had any issues with the wheel axles breaking under all the power?
bulkheads are the same. i have twisted my center drive axles but my 4 corner drive shafts are still holding up fine. its all about properly setting up the slipper clutch.
i got my 2nd GT8 body (AKA shelf display body) painted today. what you guys think?

nice !
that color combo looks great on that body
humay...can u list the process...steps...procedures...and tools used to paint ur bodies?...also...total costs?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/390452169928...84.m1438.l2648
paint cost: $5.99 each.....i had 3
tools i use for trimming:
scissor, hobby knife, and power drill.
after trimming, i drill holes for the body post with a step drill bit and then i wash the inside part of the body with soap and water, then dry it really good. once its completely dry, use gloves to apply the window stickers, you want to make sure the inside stay clean, touching it with your fingers can create problems with your paint later on.
all i see are some sweeeeet looking tiresand thanks for the front brace, fit like a charm
thanks man
