    extra money

well im thinking since i just picked up this second job more or less delivering pizza on the weekends for my friends pizza place that i will be able to get me another rc way sooner now still got bills and what not. and once i get some more things done on my 2.4 swap neon i can work towards a good rc at that point. made about $75 profit after replentishing my gas yesterday and today i made about $18-20 profit with just 2 deliveries. so hopefully soon........ but i know i need about $100 to fix brakes and about $150 to get a new windshield.

You can make a lot of money doing pizza deliveries especially if the people in your area give good tips and car is good on gas and reliable. When I did it I made about $15-$20/hr while spending about $1/hr on gas. Do you get a base hourly rate also? I worked at two different places and got $5/hr base + tips. Its amazing whenever you get that $10 or $20 tip!

only worked last night and tonight. but tonight we got hit by a big storm and lost power. but the area is right on the lake near a national park and everything. and most of the locals are all either rich people or cops. last night i was given $40 for working as the hourly rate and then with the $2 i get automatically for every delivery i made $50 total in tips. and my tank wasnt even full when i got there so that $15 i took out was to fill it all the way back up. driving a little automatic sohc dodge neon that ive taken good care of. tonight on just 2 deliveries i make $10 in tips i think it was plus the $4 for the delivery fee, and then he gave me $11 for the little time i was working so like $25. and its only a 15 minute drive to get there from my house. so for a weekend job to have like the coolest boss ever being hes a friend and all pretty much rocks lol. they deliver to people on yachts and everything lol. he said usually those are like a $10 tip automatically lol

yeah speedway is the cheapest in sandusky. its been under $3 for over a week. i passed it earlier and it was still $2.93, but that a good bit of drive to just get gas for me. like 20 minutes or just over. so i just drove to town less than 3 miles away where i went to school and whatnot and paid the $3.18, but if i go across the bridge to deliver pizza in that area its always higher. i was seeing alot of $3.27

well worked 8 hours at my normal job, just got home and my buddy text me and asks if i can come in for a few hours. so i showered quick and headed in there. worked a total of 10 1/2 hours between both jobs. and for the 2 deliveries i took i got a $4 tip on one and a $2 tip on the other. so $6 total in tips. then i got the $2 driver reinbursmement for each delivery which is basically just counted as tips. so more or less $10 in tips for 2 deliveries then he gave me $10 for the time i was there as my hourly pay, and i ate for free since i was working. not a bad deal if you ask me lol. and i only used like 1/8th tank of gas

You worked 2 hours and only made $10? That should be against the law. Even $10 a hour is kinda low

well regular minimum wage for a non tipped job is only 7 something. and any tipped jobs like delivery drivers, waitress, waiter ect. is less then $5 here in ohio. so for being less than $5 and i made $10 for doing basically nothing im not going to complain. plus its under the table and im not on payroll so no taxes are being taken out either.

ok just found the minimum. in ohio for tipped employees you only have to pay them $3.85 an hour. for non tipped minimum wage in ohio it has to be $7.70 an hour. so tipped pay is only half of minimum wage. i mean its still under the table and hes basically just paying me minimum and rounding to the nearest dollar. but its under the table and im getting tips still. and if im not on a delivery or helping in the kitchen were watching movies or playing xbox live lol.

3.85? How can anybody live from making $32 a day and getting taxed on top of that. Xbox live is pretty sweet though. Can't argue about getting paid to play at work

you gotta remember though. that is just minum wage at a tipped job. so as long as your good at it your getting tipped as well. my first night ever i got paid $40 for working, then made another $50 in the tips including the driver reinbursment. so thats $90 un taxed in cash that moment. where my normal job im only making $9 per hour until my 90 days is up i can tell you that for a 40 hour week i make $288.25 after taxes. so if they didnt take taxes out i would make $360. so if your taxing out taxes its like i only get paid $7.21 per hour even though my salary is $9 so if your taking out taxes daily i only make $57.65 a day. so really if you think about it you can make way more if you get good tips even with the lower hourly pay.

Because tips. If you get 5 deliveries an hour and average $4 per tip, that's $24 an hour. That's good you get $2 per delivery, I never got anything like thst.

Worked in, ran, managed, and delivered at many pizza places.

How many other drivers are on at the same time on a Friday night? Summer is usually slower in the pizza biz, so stick around for fall and you will see your profits go up.

Gas here in Pittsburgh is 3.50. Had a Kenny Chesney concert here a couple of days ago. 4 guys got stranded, and I had to take them to Columbiana, Ohio in the Taxi. I was shocked to see gas at 3.13 there. I want Ohio gas prices! I spend about $80 for fuel in my 12 hr shifts

If you have a good driving record and police record, check out becoming a taxi driver. If the company where you live uses independent contract drivers, you can make a bunch of money in a very short time. Makes pizza look like peanuts if you know what I mean...

Miss that part of the country. I worked at Cedar Point for three years and during that time, I met my wife there. That was almost twenty years ago. Ran around Sandusky a lot and growing up we always went to the park a few times a year. Been over ten years since I've been there. You're right, a ton of money there around the lake.

That's very important too. One place I worked the boss was paranoid about getting too many orders and not having enough drivers. During days there were 2-3 drivers, weeknights 5-6, and weekend nights 8-10! It was horrible.

just got off work, dont think im getting paid a set rate since im under the table. but i came home with $61 after only 5 deliveries. the last one of the night i made $11.25 after the $2 driver re embersment. and the one before that i made $15 then the $2 but we forgot there sub and menus so i had to go back out and they tipped me another $2.50 lol. so i got almost $20 from that. so theres $31 alone then $7 from another so thats $38 in tips another $4 total, and then only a $.50 so thats like $42.50 in just tips/driver re embersment. so if you do the math i only made like $2.30 an hour actually working but still without taxes. and we were pretty slow and had alot alot of downtime. cant complain about easy money though workign 4-9 tomorrow as well.

I'm fascinated by the gap between hourly rates in Australia & the USA. In Aus the minimum wage is...

"For adult employees who aren’t covered by an award or agreement, the adult national minimum wage was increased from $589.30 per (38 hour) week to $606.40 or $15.96 per hour."

The business I manage employs unskilled labour for a starting rate of $18.50 p/hr...I can't get anyone to work for less!

I'm shocked to hear that educated people will work for $7 p/hr in the USA, I mean, I understand the cost of living is cheaper but it can't be that much cheaper - surely?
