    Transmitter issues?

Well last month I was having issues with my RX and TX. I noticed my antenna wire was missing about a inch so I bought a new RX and I still had the same problem. So A few of you recommended sending them back to Traxxas and I did and explained what was going on with both RX's. So a half dozen phone calls later and Traxxas messing up they finally got things figured out and sent me my RX and TX back. I just got them back and they sent me a new RX and they said nothing was wrong with my TX. I hooked everything up and went for a test run and once again I go behind a person and I loose signal. It has to be in line of site for it to work and with in 100 feet.

Can anyone tell me whats going on.

That's got me puzzled.Just guessing at what could cause this
2.4 doesn't like solid objects much so I have been told.doesn't do under water
Well at all.Quality Tx batts can make a difference.antenna is high enough
Changed motor?broken cap on the motor... Shouldn't matter with 2.4 but check anyways.no pinched wires

    Sent using magic and trickery
    Ok it was Tapatalk

While the parts were at Traxxas I took every part off and cleaned and inspected everything and I even took every bearing apart and re greased them all with marine grease and the diffs and trany Ect....... But I did not see anything the only wire issue I have is the stock light wires have a couple breaks but I have them disconnected. But that shouldn't matter.

I did get hold of Traxxas and they were stumped to.

I only use Duracell industrial batts in the TX and I have a couple cases of them and I have swapped in about 4 different sets thinking I may have a bad bunch or something but no change.

If Your receiver was OK'd by Traxxas, the only things that changed are the power supply(speed control) and servos.

It's possible that your speed control may not be providing enough power to the receiver(and servos).

Try powering the receiver from a separate battery.

    Good luck,

Any 6 volt source is good for testing....
Do you have another electric RC? Plugging the extra ESC into the "batt" spot with it hooked to a separate battery will be fine for testing.

Well. I've finally got my transmitter back and they ended up sending me a new one and telling me to keep all my old stuff for free. Let's just say lots of issues and lots of phone calls and a stressed out summit owner. Lol.
I wanted to let every one know that I linked the transmitter and hit the throttle..... Then j remembered that I lost a slipper clutch pad and took the clutch and spur gear out and put the covers back on. Grrrr. So I ended up running around the house and out back hitting the throttle and everything seems to be working great. No more line of sight play time.
I'll keep everyone informed of the status when I get a new clutch.
