What is the most hectic thing happen to your truck while bashing ;) ?

I was bashing my truck at the local skate park during lunch break...I had a work colleague come down to see what the E-Revo was all about.

I was jumping my truck out of a 4ft quarter pipe onto the grass flat behind. The more I bashed the gnarlier I got with my truck and I can say with confidence that I was starting to show off bit. In a spur of the moment decision I hit the quarter pipe at almost full throttle with 6s lipos. The E-Revo took off like a rocket and launched about 13 foot above the ramp, triple back flipped and traveled about 19ft in the air before hitting the middle of the tree.

To my amazement the E-Revo was stopped dead in its tracks...proceeded to do another back flip as it ricochet of the tree as gravity came into effect. Landed on its wheels and I drove away.

I can proudly say that not one thing was broken and from that new found glory the E-Revo has become some what of a legend at my work.

I love my truck...long live the E-Revo (a true legend in its time and forever beyond)

Other than coming off unscathed after cartwheeling down a 100' hill nothing worth mentioning

i did a few backflips off a willow tree. I kinda got confident a mashed on it at the trunk of the tree and it ended up 20 ft in the tree. i have a video of it going about 12 ft. one time i launched in the tree and it got stuck, and i was able to use rev and foward to drive up the limb to fall out !! wicked

I clipped a wooden porch landing about 3 inches high with about 1/4 throttle (6s). I somehow ripped off both right side arms. I had a truck with only one complete side! the other arms and carriers were some 3 feet away!

I hit a cinder block once that I didn't see in my yard dead on going 40 and only broke a motor mount. That was with my old tmax. I've done some tree ramping with my revo when I first got it and it took it like a champ. I only landed on the lid once to

I build myself a pretty steep ramp that I am going to use when my build finishes that should get me some 60ft jumps so that will be interesting!!

When I first got into rc my friend and I went bashing. My friend started up his t-maxx 2.5 with the remote turned off and it took off WOT across the park into a street and got crushed by a ups truck.

With the new 2.4ghz radios you guys may never know the joyful feeling of watching your truck take off full speed as you run behind it frantically trying to regain control.

That's unlucky...I can just picture that in my head as it happened to me once, I also ran franticly after my truck to watch it disappear...fortunately my truck took off in the opposite direction to the road and ended up a few hundred meters away stuck in the thick of the bush.

How funny, I wish your buddy was filming. I haven't taken my ERBE out in ages but there is nothing like being completely out of control flipping and cartwheeling through the air and ricocheting off anything in it's path only to end up back on the wheels and simply driving away as though nothing happened. Love it. Long live the ERBE

Well, I haven't had mine for very long, and new to Rc.. So I was trying out the 6s worth of lipo on my street with a bunch of neighbors watching.. Flying down the street trying to get to max speed and keep the front end on the ground... One neighbor was pointing a speed gun... I tried to correct the steering, cut it too much, and the truck cart-wheeled end over end about 20 times and just missed the back of a parked car by inches.. It was funny as h hit 50 right before it flipped!

I was testing out my new telemetry sensor for speed and my tekin RX8 ESC shorted out on Saturday. Was just doing short runs, no wrecks, no nothing. Not what you were looking for I guess, but its going to be hectic.

Couple months ago I installed a set of Hpp hex's didn't read the instructions entirely,so my son was speeding thru a gravel lot running top speed, all of sudden lost a wheel front left truck cart wheeled into four lanes of busy traffic narrowly missing a semi,so there it sat with cars going around it, I then have the bright ideal tell my son let me have the transmitter! Bad ideal I'm no good with driving RC to add insult to injury there's only 3 wheels. In my efforts to return the truck to safety I almost made a motorcycle run into a car. When I got the truck back off the road to the shoulder son picked up truck and I grab the wheel and we ran like we stole something.

I was jumping off of a berm that i use for my dirt bikes, and behind it about 20 feet is a ditch that is about 2 feet wide, a foot deep and concrete. with my luck, lvc cut in right when i punched the throttle and it did a nose dive straight into the far corner at about 30. nothing was broken except for my old basher body that was already cracked in multiple places.

I can't spellSo Thursday arvo I went out on my lunch break to go bash my truck in my local skate park. My front diff was stripped as usual, so I went all out and purposely go and trash my diff as I am doing the Losi LST2 conversion. I am just waiting on spares to arrive to do this.

For those who have seen my video know that I like to bash insanely hard...and as you have seen in my video I jump high. This is a freeze frame photo from one on my vids. You will find my vids here http://traxxas.com/forums/showthread...isbane-bashing

Well, on Thursday I hit this ramp at full speed standing on top so I could see my landing...I aired more than double this (about 40ft above the ground) and traveled over 60ft before my truck landed. It was a perfect landing but unfortunately this happened.

As always you don't get video footage of the things you do...but I will attempt this again when I make my next video. Doing these sorts of things always end up breaking something so I don't do all the time.

My truck is very durable and awesome...not much goes wrong when I bash like this but every now and then something does. In the pics below you can see just what I broke doing this.

I broke the rear bulk head, rear body mount, my P2 rockers and a rear drive shaft.

After a lot of consideration and thought I am now upgrading certain parts on my truck...Losi diff, RPM arms, RPM knuckles and RPM bumper mounts. Here is my truck stripped to pieces and ready for its rebuild and general maintenance.

These are the parts that will be replaced with new.

You can find my original thread of upgrades here http://traxxas.com/forums/showthread...-E-revo-hop-up to my original journey of setting up my E-Revo to what it is now.

I will be starting a new thread on my build once all my parts have arrived and what changes I have made to my settings.

    How tough is the E-Revo!!!

My first tmaxx... along along time ago lol... We had a tree freshly planted in the yard. The tree had been there for awhile so I was used to it, naturally I went around it. Well this tree had wires around the first branches on the top that stretch out to wooden stakes in the ground. These 3 wires are spread out evenly so they all pull in a direction to make the tree grow straight.
Well... I was crusing WOT from the neighbors drive way thru our yard and smashed my left front a-arms right into that wooden stake. Needless to say.... that entire side of the truck was gone... The engine even moved.

I've also had my older nitros run away on me. Once was headed straight for a corvette... luckly it turned and hit a house... "luckly"

hitting a tabletop at the skate park full throttle with my slayer and missing the ramp by a tire width to the left of the ramp and it smacked a grinding rail about 10' to the side and doing about 2 barrel rolls landing on its wheels still running and driving fine went right from that on to a quaterpipe and ramped bout 10' foot above it and did 3 front flipps off the lip and landed on the wheels and drove off in the sun set.. AKA (porta potty) lol the skaters loved it and were all about going home to to start convincing mom an dad for one
    Man if i could fly..........
