    Angry Bent rotor shaft

So my pinion came loose and took out my spur gear (no big deal) after I replaced the spur and tried to mesh the gears I realized the rotor shaft was bent... I have found a part # for the rotor (TRA3353) but the only place that I can find them in stock is fleabay and I hate that place... For what it costs I wonder if I should rebuild or just get another motor for about $20 more...

if you bent the shaft, you might be better off with another system. maybe a 2400 or a 3800 with a 5mm shaft. i've never heard of one of those bending. if you do that, you'll need a new esc because the vxl-3s dosen't work well on 4 pole motors. it hits a rev limiter at mid rpm and stays there. if i were you, i'd sell the vxl-3S, and get one of the systems i mentioned.

I have been considering upgrading to a mmp 2400 system just need to get the funds together. I can run a 550 size motor and up to 4s with the club I race with. The Velineon has been good to me in both trucks I run it in though. My pinion came loose after a jump with 15+ ft of air and I landed about 25 ft away on asphalt... I know dumb move I have access to a machine shop where I work so one of the guys is going to put my bent rotor in a machine and see if we can get it straightened out. Im hopeing we can get it straight enough that I can run that motor in my freestyle truck...

you gotta be really careful about that because if it's not dead on, you'll be bouncing the pinion into the spur and eating those. all the guys at my local track seem to favor the 2400 on 3S.
