I think I might be crazy for asking this....

I'm officially hooked on turning my Slash into a MT. I was doing some research and came across the Traxxas 17mm hub adapters. Now, I know this is for putting 1/8 buggy wheels on the truck but hear me out here...

Is it possible to also use those adapters to put MAXX size wheels and tires on the truck? I mean...2.8 wheels are cool and all...but 3.8 is bigger! Muhahahaha! (sorry)

    Anyone have some input?

you can but you will need to gear down considerably. You could even run 17mm truggy tire's.

I think it should work as long as the rim is 17mm hex.

It won't work for long! It will look awesome, but maxx wheels/tires are way too heavy for this drivetrain. I would have already tried it, but my emaxx has 14mm hexes.

Tried it with tires from E-Maxx 3908 , it was a real dissapointment and destroyed the stk axles.

Have a couple buds that run the 2.8 trenchers but strip then out because of the stock hex size.

I wish I had access to a 17mm slpine rim to run 2.8 trenchers, this is a great Bash Tire

I do have the E-maxx tires for sale $40 plus shipping

I run the 2.8 trenchers and they are great for bashing.
