Has anyone used a bed liner type of product (Rhino, line X, Flex seal maybe) on the inside of their body, and if so did it help make it stronger or cause problems.

I have seen it done on a couple bodies. It does remain flexable but heavy. Due to the nature of the product. Windows cannot be masked to remain clear. At least I havent seen it done yet.

To make it stronger, use drywall tape and show goo. Lighter and cheaper.

Shoo goo is magical, I love it! It is, however, hard to find. I found some at a local Atwoods store. It's like Tractor Supply in that they carry horse/livestock stuff along with anything else you need when you live out in the sticks. A tube went for $5 and I'm on my second one. One tube should be enough to repair or reinforce one body. The body in the last video is way overdone. If you have an older body you will already understand where it will crack. So stick to those areas first, covering the whole shell is just going to make it heavy.

I did the last body that way because it went to the skate park alot and withstood some impacts frome some serious height. We also visit asphalt and gravel piles so it helped my slash 4x4 tremendously. Who needs a roll cage when I got shoe goo and drywall tape lol...

I use shoe goo and fiberglass screen door mesh, then thin coat of Flexseal over all. Added 1.5 oz. of extra weight but really strong and no rattle noise.

Good looking job. Flex seal is thinner than line-x and rhino. I wonder how it has held up with a few runs on it? Looks good for a fresh paint job. The real test is after it has some road rash and a few battle scars on it. It is one awesome looking truck.

Awesome, although I avoid walmart (the people that shop there) at all costs...I won't get into the weird things that always happen to me there.

You can pick it up at most hardware and shoe repair stores etc. The I have seen the shoe goo method help protect cars that have landed on thier hoods from 15-20 ft drops. But others like the spray on too...

Flex seal works good. I did a couple of test runs and after some hard roll overs some of the flex seal chipped off near the rear body post holes. I am on vacation now and when I get home I will spray the chipped part with flex seal and reinforce it with shoo goo. This should make it really strong.
