    Which set up ??

So...I'm thinking it's time to jump on the bandwagon and get a 2.4 ghz system but I'm nut sure that I like the traxxas transmitter. I was wanting some feed back on which system you like best and why. The thing I don't like about the traxxas system is they STILL don't have an LCD readout they still use an old knob to adjust steering which gets bumped all the time and you have to readjust. If I buy the traxxas system with iPod dock will bumping the steering knob still change the set values? Also I posted this here because the only electronics section we have is labeled (TRAXXAS RADIOS) and my question is more abroad.

I would suggest the spektrum dx2e. I think your going to need i dx3e though because you have to run two servos unless your just running 1. I think you can get like y splitters for the steering servos so that you only use one chan. But the dx2e is only $60.

How much you looking to spend? That's a big deciding factor.

agreed there price is going to be a huge factor. i personally like the spektrum radios for the features you get and the LCD readout. if price is a factor then you can take a look at flysky gt3c or gt3b. 3C series is a new radio they have come out with and has a lipo battery pack to power it. look it up at rcecho.com its from china might be worth trying to find it here in the states but highly doubt you will find one here. i've seen them go for around 40+

I have a Futaba 4PKS, I love the feel of it but it doesn't do battery voltage, rpm, temp or anything like that. I have heard people say those sort of features tend to not be all that accurate, the Futaba however has a stupid level of customisation of steering and throttle rates, exponential etc and when you look at the 1/5 scale features it gets really mind boggling and it feels excellent to use.

After using that for awhile coming back to the TQ radio felt really disconnected and cheap, mind you it's an RTR radio so you can't expect much. My SCX10's radio feels really cheap too, the dials are horrible yet the trigger and wheel actually doesn't feel to bad at all.

I tried a flysky once, felt nice to use.

Rather than spektrum, I would look at an Airtronics or Sanwa MT4. Has all the telemetry and features and a really nice feel to it. That would be my choice of radio that doesn't break the bank and feels great.

I agree with you on the level of customization on the futaba that's what I have now and I LOVE IT but it's 75mhz and the distance is really good For some reason I just feel like I need to upgrade lol

I've heard great things about the flysky fs-gt3b and they're a great price.

I have a Spektrum DX3S and a DX3E and I love them. I think if I were to buy a radio now, I'd get the DX3C. For $125, it has the rolling LCD screen, mixing, and 20 model memory, and you get a receiver. Good deal, I think.
