Mamba Monster or 3.3? Help me pick. This thread wont fit anywhere else.

Ive got an emaxx brushless roller and a tmaxx 3.3 which i bought with a bad motor. should i complete the emaxx with the mamba monster or fix the tmaxx 3.3 first? either way ill do both down the road

I would go with the tmaxx. You just cannot beat the sound and smell of burning nitro methane, no matter how mch power the electric has.

i think ill lean more on going mamba monster now. i gotta have a quieter vehicle for when i go with the boy scout troop to camp i can go back in the woods and bash without attracting all the minors in the troops attention.

So you're a boyscout leader? Nice. I'm working on my eagle. They need an RC merit badge.

yep. assistant scoutmaster but im only 19. i got my eagle. its more than worth it especially on the job market. they kinda have one. its the "model building" merit badge and its way too lame to do though. if you do RC first youll find building nonworking models is not thrilling at all

with an XO-1 system you could probably gear higher and go faster, I think the whole system will probably handle more amps, I was pretty interested in the system because it seems like every other 1/8 sale system occasionally fails on 6s lipos, despite the reputation for quality. For scouting I would think electric would be much better, at least here in Colorado the fire danger is a problem. As often as I get the chance to drive my e-maxx on 4s lipo it's a blast, I wanted to do an electric monster but I was hesitant about the price of the brushless systems and lipos times 2. Since I found the right price for my electronics and RC's I'm glad I have a brushless monster truck, it's a fun package.
