Got some new servos solar d772

Just wanted everyone to know the solar d772 servos on hobbypartz work great. I installed two onto my summit and added 2 glow plug washers to my servo saver. After 6 sets of battery's these servos work great! Check em out. I'm looking know to water proof them, looking for the best rIght way.

I am giving my Blue Bird's 30 days to come into stock then I am cancelling that order and getting the Solars.

Forgot to mention the summit servo horns do not fit I used the provided horns I cut one side of with dremel. Any thoughts on aluminum horns? Don't get me wrong the provided horns are stronger than summits stock horns.

I did the same thing, brailman. Cut off one side of the included horn with a dremel - works great. I love the extra torque.

p.s. I waterproofed mine by filling them up with grease. If water can't get in, it's waterproof!
I may just hit the screws/seams with some liquid electrical tape to play it safe, though.

How have they held up? Are they better then stock for crawling?

I know that mine are still going strong, and have proven time and again that they are indeed better than the stockers when crawling. I'd like to have quieter servos, but I wouldn't like to pay 5x the price for comparable performance!

I felt the same way,until I tried a hitec.
I see why they cost more.precise to say the least,and I'm getting more steering throw and faster.i got a good deal on mine half price, used once in a crawler
The 767 hv I was running is not even close.it says it has more torque but
This hitec kills it hands down

Yes and no....I have been through a few
Of the "less expensive"shall we say ones,well a bunch of them.
Still $17 worth a try I agree.
After some climbs with the hitec I see why they cost more.
scalpel to a butter knife difference.
