    Star cut foam

Can anyone tell me how to star cut my foams. I got a new set of mud slingers and axial 8017 wheels and the foams are to stiff and can't seem to find a thread or you tube video on how to cut them.
    Thanks
    Travis

Well I got them all drawn out but no box knife. And I've tried to make 4 different home made hot wire cutters and keep blowing them up. Grr. I want to put my tires together. :'(
Any ideas how I can cut the foams now?

And I don't have turkey cutter. I've already thought about it.

But I do have abroad knife and its working great. Nice cuts to

Thanks for the link by the way.

Bunch up a small section of foam and cut with scissors across. A single cut will make a u-shape. Its not as deep as star cuts but then again a deep cut isnt needed as much in a heavy rig like the summit.

Otherwise invest in a good hobby knife.

soak them in water and freeze them, they'll be stiff enough to saw on. make sure to let them dry out completely.

Well I ended using the bread knife and it worked awesome. I could not imagine that it would even cut the faom let alone it did a Keller job. It even worked better then my home made hot wire. When it worked. If I have to cut foams again I will use a bread knife again.

    Thanks for all the replys.
