Cool thinking about buying a slash 4x4 ultimate

Hi guys I was interested in buying the ultimate slash 4x4. Are they a fun truck and durable? I run in parks and baseball fields and I really like this truck. I plan on running 2s lipo in mine. About how long of a runtime could I expect out of it? Any advice would be great. Peace.

It's extremely fun and one of the most durable trucks out there! Here's my youtube channel. http://www.youtube.com/user/thedknuckles Stop by and check out some bash vids and see how durable the slash 4x4 is. Hopefully some others will post thier vids up too... BTW welcome to the addiction...

Have a look at a guy called "nicksourceuk" on you tube - I don't know him personally but has, IMHO, the best slash 4x4 vids showing how much you can bash these things (you'll still get breakages, just less often than with other trucks - its even more durable than my mates Savage!) here's one of his to get started:

Buying the Ultimate is the way to go! I have had both and the Ultimate has broken a lot less parts! If you can get an Ultimate I highly suggest that is the truck to buy. The buy the base model and upgrade it is a lot more expensive!

I just bought a slash 4x4 for my daughter and i last month first rc ever. I love this truck so does my daughter it is so much fun and takes some abuse. Ours was the base model brushless. Broke an a arm last week and just got my last shipment of parts today to basically upgrade to the ultimate plus lots of rpm stuff. To do it over I would have bought the ultimate from the start. I didn't do my research well enough before but I have no regrets at all buying this truck and would by another in a second.

Thanks guys for the info. Will it climb up smooth dirt hills and do doghnuts? I would like to install the powerstroke shocks on it, will they fit? It is either the slash ultimate or the e-firestorm but I want a durable fun easy to wrench on 4x4 so that is why the slash looks more appealing to me. It is a huge truck truck also isn't it?

Yes it'll climb hills and do doughnuts - don't know about firestorm - best way is to see if you can get a test drive of each and decide which you like best

I have had many different brands and kinds of rc vehicles. I have sold everything but my two Slash 4x4's! I highly suggest you getting one. Of will climb and spin doughnuts. Again, get the Ultimate it is a better model for durability.

Just bought the base slash with the brushless motor for me and my son. I couldn't afford the ultimate and was looking forward to doing the upgrades ourselves. After a couple weeks now of daily bashing with my boy and only broke the rear body post I still would've bought he same model. Cant go wrong either way you decide

I bought the base model and never regretted not buying the ultimate instead. I replaced what parts broke with rpm. The ultimate is a great buy but isn't needed to be a great basher...

I hope were still here after dec 22 for the new Hobbit movie lol...
