You should get a 3s battery. Then you could do 50+. On 2s the vxl system is a bit slow.

Unglue your tires and tape them then reglue and that will solve a large portion of your ballooning issue

3S and the thing will fly. A huge difference. Tape tires is a must !

Just watch you motor temperatures on 3S as you could easily overheat it.

The short wheelbase (coupled with 3s) is what's making it fishtail.

Thats true, it wont be safe at 50+ mph. You can how ever lower the truck so it sits like 1 inch from the ground along with other stuff, but that will transform it to a street truck, and i dont think you want that.

Pedes are meant to bash hard and fly through the air, not get slammed and turned into a street rig! That's like the weirdos out there who lower full size deully pickup trucks like they're lowriders, boo to that LOL. Make sure you check your temps frequently running the velineon motor on 3s, it heats up quick! I run 14/56 32p and am able to maintain a nice mix of temps and performance.

+1 on the purpose of Pede's is to bash and jump and that low rider 1:1 trucks are moronic. I don't do speed runs but if I did I'd do speed runs with the Rusty, and even with my Slash b4 I'd ever bother trying with my Pede. Thats why my 5700kV motor's on the Rusty and the Slash and Pede sport 3800kV's.
What broke, uh, needs upgrading now?

You might want to balance those tires and see if that helps your truck track straight.
