    Question? 550 & 775

Why does the stock E-Revo come with 2x titan 550, and the summit come with 775? From my under standing the 775 is a better option, Last longer, More toque & More speed than the 550’s? So why does traxxas put the slower less powerful 550’s in the E-revo?

Just seeing wondering if there is a reason?

    Cost? Old Stock?
May the "thrill" of advertising with twin motors?

If there is a real reason, I would like to know.
Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.

i believe the 2x 550s provide more speed while the 775 has a ton more torque. I have driven a summit but not a dual motor chassis yet. the 775 isnt that fast...at least not on the summit.

I ask coz I originally bought a e-revo, and as I have got older I have gone from just wanting to go fast to enjoying going for walk with the dogs and now my hybrid summit/e-revo. So over time I have covererted it, Changing the Diff and gear ratio, tow speed and so on. Also as the old 550’s gave out put in the 775, (did not know about the Dewalt option at the time which is the next)

But like said I was just wonder as the 775 give more run time power and speed, and is just as capable of running the stock 18/67 .

    Kind of going with

    Any other Opinions????

Actually its just the speed vs torque factor. Most people who buy wrecks want speed. The dual 550's will net you around 30mph. Not quite brush less but fast and affordable.

Most people who buy summits like big tires, high torque, and slower rock/ trail crawling. So a slower (21mph) but more powerful 775 is needed to turn those 7 inch canyon tires and still be able to go up an incline.
