velineon VXL-3s problem

I have a Velineon VXL-3s, I am running a 8.4v high power nimh battery with it. It was running for about 2 months now just find. Today i ran threw a puddel and still ran find. now when i go to turn in on it does not start. Any HELP!

there is a short somewhere, the water had to work its way for that

yup unfortunatly you will have to send to traxxas and pay about 50 buks for a brand new one :/

it is waterproof just not 100% waterproof. but the puddel it went threw was tiny are you sure it couldnt be anthing else. when you try to start it its gets really hot on the black fins

That is a sign that you have a short. You can search the market place or it will cost you $55+ shipping it to Traxxas for replacement.

So there is no way to fick the short with out replacing it

If you do have a sticky-button-(usually all you'll get is a red-blinky) Easy fix............Spray the button with WD-40 and hit the button real close with compressed-air. Done-

Is it under warranty? Did you contact traxxas support?
