    4s + Tekin RX8 + 2250kv + No Taped Tires = This Pic

I picked up my ERBE from another forum member and finally got everything working the way i wanted it. First day out, i blew a tire doing some street runs. Not sure what tires these are, so if anyone know let me know so I dont buy them again. Im thinking about getting some proline road rage 40 series, i imagine they are great on the road, any experience with them in mowed grass?

A word on the Gen Aces 2S batts i bought, they had these goofy top mount slots for the +/-, had to mod the air vent to get them to fit. Wont buy those again either, an expensive trial and error hobby.

Tape the the next set of tyres with gorilla tape or something similar or you will be forever shredding tyres (if you have not taped them already)

Those tyres look like chevrons mate.

You need some street tires for high speed runs. I use HPI Phaltline racing tires. You need to buy the tires separate from the wheels. HPI glues the tires over the chrome on their wheels and it becomes de-bonded from the tires. Plus, their glue job sucks. I bought some and baked them off, sanded off the chrome from the wheels, brushed the chrome off the tires, and reglued and balanced them myself. I also taped the inside of the tires. It took a LOT of time and a Dremmel is a must. Now that I am done they are some great tires. I run 60 mph+ with no problem.

For bashing I use a Proline Trenchers.

Whatever they are, they're on backwards. Possible chevrons with DIY slotting?
I know they're having their break there by your brake drums. No, you're not invited.

Yep, thats the batts ive got too. I was able to slice out one of the vent fins and get it all to fit.

Just bought 2 full sets of wheels and tires. Axial 8 spokes in both black and black chrome. Tires are road rage and trenchers, both 40 series. I couldnt decide and after a few beers i just bought both. Now i just need to decide which wheel will get which dress for the dance.

I've got road rage 3.8s with black chrome desperado rims. I haven't taped them up yet. Let us know how those 40series work out for you.
