    Nitro Slash

Not really sure where to put this. A few weeks ago I received a trashed Nitro Rustler. I'm not a big fan of stadium trucks so I decided to convert it to a 2wd nitro SC. I have a custom fabricated upper and lower chassis, Pro-line ProTrac suspension, green dot snipers on the rear, yellow dot slicers on the front, and a Losi 3.4 engine. I have to say, this thing can scream. It will beat an SC8 or and a Slayer all day long on the track! Not quite sure how to post pics or I would...

Been there, Done that. Post some pics. Its still a rustler.

I liked it at first. But running in the mud was a pain when it was time to clean. Also a pain keeping mud out of the tank. This is what it looks like now.

    I call it, The SLUTSLER.

Does Photobucket allow pictures to be used in forums still?

Looks sweet. Hows the suspension? Wheelbase looks a little short. Does the front tires rub when it bottoms out? Nice paint job. really liking the wheels. Who makes them? My chassis was custom as well. By me. I wanted to get a true 13" wheelbase. Nothing aftermarket comes close. Longest aftermarker chassis wheelbase I could find was 11 3/4" Got any chassis pics? I would like to see what others are coming up with.

Thanks a lot! I don't have any pictures of the chassis sadly. I drew it up on CAD and cut it with a CNC machine. Both the upper and lower are carbon. The wheelbase is a little small. The suspension handles great though! I don't have any rub when it bottoms out. I mainly wanted a 1/10 nitro SC to compete with the Team Associated Sc10GT that is out. I have to say, I wouldn't still call this a Rusty. It's got more Slash parts than Rusty parts. A-arms, towers, hubs, axles, carriers. It handles completely different also. I really do love the wheels. The are the Renegade Bead-Loc's from Pro-Line. The bad thing about them is that they use the ProTrac offset. So unless you are running ProTrac, it narrows your wheelbase.

Thats why I called mine the slutsler. Part SLash part rUSTLER. Now is more of an 1/8 rustler. Since I took the pics I swapped engines for an 18tm with buku clutch. Wicked fast and handles great. Just too much power for tranny. Keep blowing out idler gears. Even blew out the steel idler gear mod. Probably should power down but wheres the fun in that. I just keep several spare idlers on hand.

I've gone through a couple so far. That 3.4 can really scream. I love it.

My biggest problem right now is that I can't find a rear bumper to fit it. I am open to any suggestions.

T-Bone wheelie bar is what I am using. It comes out flush with the rear of the body. Or just get the T-Bone rear bumper. Closest match I have found.

I know its not a slash but wanted to show any new guys here what I did with en extended chassis from Powerman. This truck was built to keep up with my buddys revo 3.3 on the track on in my woods. The woods has some really rough spots so a monster truck build was ideal for me. The suspension is soft and long but the extra width keeps here planted. I ran my 3.3 in there to she blew up. It was plenty enough power to play around with the Revo. Making passes became easy work with a low gearing. I'm going to put a big block in there one of there days. I already have a pipe and mounts for a .26. I plan on going with the Ofna Picco .26 for the Maxx/ Revo. With my mounts and pipe, she will drop right in. I love how it came out. The truck is still in portion with a rustler, its just bigger, like a 1/8 scale nitro rustler.

Hers some pics of it with my other trucks; lightened up on road n rusty (new chevy body), a real Slash 4x4 and a 96-98ish rusty roller that was just sold.

This video was shot on the first test run. She still needed some tuning but it was a chilly day and I just wanted to see how she handled.
