New Motor, which alternatives are there?
Today i think my Motor is went down.
The pionion gear is bucking if I push the throttle. So I think there is nothing more what I can do, or?
Which motor alternatives are there?
Which Mamba fits best for the mini Revo? What are things i`ve to look for?
Whats about the gear "protection" if i use the mamba? What kind of "spacer" is it on the pic to mount the motor? Do i have to run my lipos in parallel?

thank you in advance!
-
So I take it this is not a pic of your car? Is yours stock?
-
Yes its not my Revo.
Should be an example picture, because of the "spacer".
Dunno the exact wording for this part, my technical english isnt that good :-D
My Revo has some optional parts. Steel Pushrods, Rocker, GTR Shocks, RPM Parts and so on.
Edit: This one is mine.

Picture doesnt show the latest Parts.

Do you off road a lot or more street driving? A fast small block like a neu would be the best setup, big block 1406 4600kv or 5700kv and a sv2 or Mamba Max pro depending on your budget
-
Tembol motor mounts or Traxxas brushed motor mount will work
-
thx for your fast reply.
most of the time i go offroad. What is "neu"?
i think the main advantage of these big blocks are more power?
Imho that i dont need more power as the velineon has.
-
Neu is one of the best built and powerful and expensive small block motors. I would pu a stock motor and upgrade to a better Esc like the castle sv2. Stock motor does run good!
-
stock is i think a good motor , but like 50 already mention neu , castle are awesome
depents on what you want and how fast and how crazy you wanna go
but still -> a stock is insane too with a good esc and some lipo's
-
Ok thx for the replies. I think i try it with a new velineon.
Which advantages do the castle sv2 has? Am I able to run it with the velineon without any changes?
-
yes you are able to run it on the stock engine
did owned a sv2 and worked ery well
-
it will run cooler than the stock esc and is strong enough for future motor upgrades!
-
Okay thx.
But its hard to get one, without importing. (Germany) =/
-
Castle products are indeed a pain in the ...... to get in europe
try talk to CMJ here on the forum he from germany too and knows many about goodies

thx for the link, i had already seen it, but dont wanna spend that much money.
today the new motor arrived.. but the problem isnt the motor, the new one shows the same problem.
So i think its the ESC.
On monday i will make an trip to my reseller and we will see. Hope he has a new one on stock, but dont think so.

you can go to the web site we dare not talk about and get a good 60a even 120a esc for really cheap, never tired one myself, but i have read many threads of people using them and they say its a real good esc.. even heard claims its a castle clone with a different name on it.. you could get one real easy where you live.. they have a shipping place there.. you could get one any where from $30-$100 depending on what kind you get they even have an esc, motor combo for under $100 that i hear a lot of good things about.
if you dont know the place i DONT speak of pm me
