The 1717 engine can go 8s with esc xl2?
I have a question
the engine of x0-1 (1717) 1650kv can 'use 8s with esc xl2?
I wouldn't recommend it. If memory serves, that motor is only rated to turn 45k RPMs, 8s would put it up to just under 49k RPMs if you run it flat out. The most I'd run is 7s, which puts you below 43k RPM. At speeds in excess of 45k RPM the rotor may come apart. Use at your own discretion, but I wouldn't expect to get a replacement motor under warranty if you blow the rotor apart.
amen ! as ive said before get a 60k rpm motor, you could change out the bearings for nice ceramics and pray it wont fall apart but it will be wasted after a few runs. Buy a neuenergy motor that fits the bill or a lehner if your wallet can support it. 1800 kv on 8s that can take it will do the 120
