My A-3 Slash as good as it gets...

Took my Slice A-3 racer, and set it up to bash as an mt. It is a 40mph slice of bash Heaven!

I have had all of the 2wd trucks, in many forms. This is the ONE!

22 cycles in the last 4 days, and it is just the BOMB! Out handles just about every rc I have ever owned. I have been jumping moderately (10 ft high and under), and really beating the living dung out of it. I literally cannot flip it over rough terrain at full speed. This chassis is the most stable thing on the planet. Had 1 failure in that time:

A suspension pin fell out. Thats it. STRC hinge pin kit on the way
    I have reached rc Zen.

    Specs:
Slice A-3 chassis with velcro battery mount
AE sct stock shocks 55wt. Rusty springs on front custom springs on rear.
    HR red front sway
    Rpm bearing carriers
    HR c-blocks
    STRC ft bulk
    Protrac kit
    Imex j-7 wide's
    Link rx/tx and 2075
    MMP 4600
    22/87 gearing
    4x4 drive shafts
Hpi wheel bearings and Avid ceramic revolutions in the trans.
Stock slash bumpers, ft is cut down and lowered to fit under the Late Model body
Trans is a hybrid of HR graphite and full alum trans with strc top shaft and AE slipper
Slash 4x4 bell crank with modded shorter (47mm) center link and spaced spring
    Vxl steel links

Best truck I have ever had.

I have about 2 hrs of cleaning ahead of me lol...

Best part is, if I change the gearing, tires, shocks, and body, then pull the velcro out and remove 1 screw, its back to racing on the oval in 5-10 min!

So when you getting the Slice A4? So this is a retired oval racer gone basher?
I am working toward a durable set up, learning as I go with many thanks to the ones like you that have shared your builds and tips and tricks, just need more time to run them!

Not retired at all! I edited in how easy it is to go back to oval setup after you posted. Too bad all those guys I race with cant take their "race trucks" out and actually have some fun with them lol...
After the 4th of July, my track is starting a 5 week "dash for cash" race series, and you better believe I will be on that! Total purse will be over $400 with money going to 1st 2nd and 3rd.

I dont need no stinkin a-4(JK) this thing is perfect!

Yep, I'm gonna have to take a ride some day after the 4th and watch you win some $$ with that hot rod of yours! Glad to see the Slice getting a vacation and time to play, good for both you 'kids'
