how do you keep the front end down at 60+mph

1/10th traxxas stampede brushless 3500 on 3s geared stock ring and 31t pinion, full t_bone bumpers and underplate, dirt hawg tires. I'm trying to get to top speed but i've tried dozens of times to finness the throttle and end up on its back sliding past me, or a wheelie at 60mph?. tonight i took the back wing off thinkin it was pushing the back down making the front light. I'm starting to think about a wing on the front to keep it down. front bumper might be lifting front end. How do people hit 80 with these suckers!

I've got a big block merv. Used the motor from my stampede. Weights seem like a guarantee to crash when trying to stop

If your trying to go fast lower it. I made a front spoiler (wing) for my rustler. The front tires have not left the ground sence.

Helps control the wheelies a bit

but if you are making power and it wheelies a bit with a center diff it will slow you down!

Yeah I heard center diffs shave a few mph off in general

Well, try an aftermarket body.. I'm sure someone here knows of a good aerodynamic merv shell

yea, photo of wing up front would be great. I broke a rear axle and tried driving front wheel drive only. my merv would barely go 20mph. the front wheels dont get enough traction to be functional on road. cornering in dirt 4wd rules. im thinking a center diff would just make the front tires do a burn out and you just dont know it. thats why its slower. center diff sends power to tires with least traction, thicker oil makes it morr even but on road tires need to spin at same rate.

I have exactly the same problem, except throw in a curve at one end. Just to make it more fun, there is a brick mailbox smack in the middle of the curve. I've never hit it ... (much)

It's hard to steer at full speed with the front wheels in flight mode

Been as fast as a Mamba Max pro 5000mah 3s will push a vxl with 31t pinion and 72t spur will go.

It forces the front end down. I don't have any added weight and has not taken flight sence I added the front airdam.

Did you Lower the front body posts and try the center diff ..it may shave a little off...very little but it will be much much more controllable

i geared mine at 32t/45t, lowered it with no zip tie holding it on the rockers and its all about controlling it at the start, if you gun it from standing still, sure it will wheelies. heres my speed pass today.

i have a limited speed run area .i get up to speed ,by the time i roll on the throttle easily to get to 60 i have used up 3/4 of the straight, then i hit the throttle and it just wheelies.not from air getting underneath from power.foams will help with the wheelies
