On road jato spool

Whats up guys been an active reader for sometime now, and you guys have a lot of useful info. Just wondering, if I remove the gears in the diffs, and replaced with a spool could that change my ratio? BTW I'm a new member and looking forward to passing on any advise that could help any other members. Thanx

Not new to the hobby just something I haven't tried. Zane the Jato has so many hop ups. You just have to build to suit your needs.

oh im not new to hobby just forums but i have a few upgrades like rpm, dirt hogg tires, shockwears and a loy of other stuff im just looking for some unusual upgrades that a lot of people dont have like a cooling fan for a nitro, what kind of upgrades do you have on your jato

Nothing special,3.3, rpms front & rear,40/20 gears mild porting and a little crank work, drilled out blue resonator pipe, jaco foams,losi carb. Shooting for 70 plus

So far I believe it is 93mph. Found on youtube, so not sure how true it is. But the onboard speedometer doews read 93

The spool does not change any gear ratio, it stays the same.

I can ASSURE YOU it's accurate. No editing, no bull. Just straight up mph. Next speed runs will have have TWO gps's AND a radar. But I'm not sure how TRUE it will b. hmmmmm

instead of a open rear were you can spin the rear tires one forward one back wards now both tires are locked together so they can only spin forward together or backwards together

Why would you want the tires to spin together

How about when turning? Yes, you will have advantage on take off... but when turning the car would just whip its tail, wouldn't it?

1000 plus feet straightaway on road only.I keep a spare diff just encase I want to do some ovals or what ever. But for the most part its flat out straight.

Ok im up for a challange. Challenge one: Stock box jatos out of the box. we can figure some kind of minor mods to do or a time limit to mod them like 5 mins. Like you get handed the box and the time you open it and do what you have to in 5 mins then you have to start it and you only get x amount of time to break it in then race it. Challange 2: 150 foot drag race with our best stuff then Challange 3: we can go for the land speed record deal. I think that would be a realy cool weekend. I will go there first wich I can do no problem I'm out that way all the time, then you have to return the favor and come to the east coast for the rematch. Winner Buys Dinner

By the way, hows that mod motor working? Do you think it can handle 600 plus feet? We like to stretch them out down here.

The motor is the best yet to date. And no problems with the 600 feet just a gearing and pipe change

This was no dig towards you or anyone else. The car is sick. Ive just grown to not COMPletely believe everything on youtube. Im sure it was a real vid, I mean why not right? You can work on cars to hop em up and everything. Again, I do believe it and it was no dig towards you
