What's that BEST upgrade on your car?

Everyone upgrades with the typical rpm a-arms, heat-sinks, axle hubs... and some go all out and upgrade with a water cooled radiator system, or a custom 4 piece metal front bumper. Which upgrade (be it custom or factory bought) improved your car the most, or maybe that your most proud of? It could be the simple and cheap modification of swapping the A-arms that make a radical change in the performance in you rc, but let us know and maybe throw in a couple of pictures (everyone likes pictures).

I'm proud of my wiring but it doesn't do much for the functionality of the car.

The shocks do keep my car from kicking to one side when i hit the throttle, and are great for the giant impacts.

These wheels extenders are great! I can make high speed turns and I hardly ever flip my lid anymore!

I know some of you like to start trouble. If I get around to it I will take a video with GPS and pull the lid showing you. I had the GPS in it last time at 60 MPH and it is the same as this video

@50togo, Nope I enjoy seeing a thread divert in a different direction, and I was on the fence about buying the t-bone kit and everybody seems to talk highly of it so I guess its my next upgrade. that's what i was trying to achieve through this thread (finding out what other must have upgrades i needed on my merv).

T-bone and SV2 esc! The T-bone setup is worth every penny imo and a must have for a basher.

It's a great buy for sure!

I got the full skid, and like you was on the fence. Mostly 'cause of the $. And even after getting it in my hands I was disappointed of how "flimsy" the plastic is ect.

But once it's on there all screwed in tight, I feel the money is well worth the protection. On a durability scale, it takes the merv from about a 7 to a 9. It's that good imo.

I was also wondering how those cvd's changed the performance or your rc 50togo? I see alot of people with them but to my knowledge it seems as though the plastic ones can handle 4s worth of torque (I do 4s speed runs all the time) but are the metal cvds better because of their light weight or is it a durability thing?

I was popping u joints and ruined more than one ride! Wanted something stronger and that was the next step.stock ones do hold up pretty good but the cvds look tough too!

Once you are making more power or hooking up better from bigger tires might be time to upgrade. Cvds weigh 8 grams stockers 9 g so just a little

I wonder if that remark is addressed to me. In case it is: The reason for my question was not because of doubts that you Merv will be able to reach such speeds, but about the speed at the moment you made the wheelie. I might be wrong, but that just doesnt look like 50mph. Just my personal opinion and in no way intended to start trouble.

I agree with 50, I have a set of 15mm and a set of 25mm. Even the 15mm played havoc with the front end; busted pivot balls

You can go the cheap route and just put heatshrink over your wires, you can get a 6' roll of it at auto zone for CHEAP.

But his way is a LOT nicer
