These are the ones from the toyz (just not in crome)…. They do not last long but are great value for money. I ordered accidentally two sets…. The first set is more or less down but still ok. These wheels do not have much offset and can make the Merv roll over easily. The tires are pre glued and balloon very much (I run BB)…. That’s one of the reasons why I don’t use them anymore. But still, I keep them for some day…

My favorite are the dirt hawgs. Work good in the dirt and not bad in the street.
We start in the mountains jumps and hills, then come down to the street for some 3 cell fun! Usually don't feel like changing tires!

I bought my VXL over the weekend and this rc is amazing in all sense of the word. I really like the Proline 1/16 Revo Road Rage Street Rim & Tires, But for some reason i always wanted rims with tires like the picture below. Check it out

My favs, Proline Gladiator II 2.2 truggy rear on HPI Dish 2.2 Truck Wheel #3091, for look and traction. Unfortunately they eat diffs, especially the front one. So i would advise against them. 135gr/each, untaped with stock white inserts.

My alternative, Proline Caliber 2.2 buggy rear on RPM Black Clawz Rock Crawler Wheels Wide Wheelbase #RPM82212. Nice and light with extra offset. ~77gr/each, taped with one layer fiberglass tape and blue Proline truck close cell inserts.

Sorry mr. blurrycam in the house.

Same tires on the RPM Revolvers

    Some tires to compare:
Proline Dirt Hawgs, Reely 1/10 foams, Proline Caliber buggy, Proline Gladiator II truck

    front view:

Dirt Hawgs on RPM Revolver on the left and Calibers on Clawz to the right.

I use 1.9 Flatirons on Axial 8 spoke wheels. Just the right size IMO, if you like the look.

hey b@3 - do the Axial Rebels have 12mm hubs or did you need adapters of some kind?

They are 12mm hex. I bought a HPI adaptor set part#6120 because there is a little circle part that fits inside the wheel and reduces the center hole in the wheel to fit the stock axle better. Here's a pic of the adaptor set with the little circle piece.

They rubbed a little on my stock hubs so I added a shim between the hex and the wheel. After talking with jimmie-neutron he said the that they didn't rub his aluminum hubs. He also doesn't use the HPI part either and doesn't seem to have a problem.

Here a tip. Use the bushing 5123 that comes in the rockers fits right in the middle of hpi rims and over the axles perfectly!

I tape all my tires just as easy to balloon in the dirt when you loose traction and spin
