    Hero camera mount job

Started off with a square piece i hacked off of here. Then drilled two hole through it and the center brace. Mounted with two screws, sorry no picts on that one. Made it the same size as the bottom of the camera mount. Now to test it out tomorrow. Local RC race at one of the hobby shops might be ideal footage for its madien run.

Stay tuned posting video after some bash runs.

Fliped it a few times, i don't do video editing so you'll have to speed it up in a few spots. Video will be up real quick.

Running the 25/46 setup on this one. I don't flip either of the XO-1's but felt it was needed for a good test against the camera. Would rather sacrifice a new painted body than not know for sure. Tomorrow im going to put a similar mount in the other one for high speed runs. New body's on the way for next week. Will be putting a buffer between the camera and the roof to keep it from getting road rash again or forcing holes in the new body if it ever gets upside down again, which has only happened once when i was learning how to drive the other one.

Heres the other one. Had to grind the sides a little so the 8400's could be removed. Mounted tray for camera mount.

Lol! I was going back and forth for 2 months before i gave in. A Traxxas sales rep out at Barrett Jackson made swiss cheese out of all the cons and reservations i had about the XO-1. Im not one to be sold but he sure changed my mind.

Did another black one since the other one got thrashed.

Going to get a few 100mph runs out in front of the house before the sun goes down. Post video when done.

Thanks Bro. Tower is good, dif case busted where the tower mounts. Picking up dif case and tie rod from hobby shop tomorrow. Had to order front and rear difuser, front bulkhead and wheels (rear wheels were obviously shot). Had spare a arm and side skirt. Every thing else including the camera is good. BTW, the camera did not catch the crash impact. Camera shut off when car fliped over. You'll notice "right before the video cuts off" that block wall right next to my neighbor's truck? It kept rolling then hit that wall from the side. Looked prety funny actually. Just wish the camera cought it.

Hopefully no light poles either. Totally love the Mopar Orange color. When I order a new body that is the color I want. Seeing yours made up my mind. Whats the paint brand and part #?

I would like to see a fancy XO-1 limited edition drive over the auction block just to see what Steve Magnante, Mike Joy and Rick DeBruhl would have to say. "Hey Steve whats it look like from the Chassis cam?" ....."Pretty good Mike not to many scratches or pitting at all. Hey this thing has independent rear suspension and a NACA air inlet!!!"..... "Hey Rick, did you get those body clips off yet? I'd like to see the powerplant."

Nice! the orange bod looks cool from inside too. What speeds were you hitting (ballpark)?, I can only judge speed using spruce trees as markers. Your palm trees are throwing my calibration out of whack.

Thanks! Wasn't really marking speed this time did want to get some good video and practice a little editing. Did look down and see 87mph logged. Will get out to cardinals stadium parking lot tomorow or sunday and get some high speed runs there, sure it will be much safer, for the car.

Have a Contour camera on the way, POV camera sun glasses and a slew of XO-1 parts to build up this Slash 4x4 roller i got. Did'nt take long for me to want to build something new (couple of guys already did this build on here). Looks like the pede "Grinder" is out the door or getting chopped to make room for a new one. This is what happens when its too hot out to run the ones you have...make more.
