My slash and my new Skyrc Toro motor...

Hello everyone of the Traxxas Forums,
This is my first time on the site, and my time with the Traxxas Slash is short lived.
I have a mostly stock Slash 4x4 which the stock motor bearing seized, so I bought a SkyRC Toro 4pole 4000kv motor as a replacement. I soldered the esc and motor with 5mm male/female connecters. The weird thing is, no matter how many times I reset the esc, it still gets no reverse, and as for running... there is only throttle when the car is in my hand lifting the RC off the floor, If I put the RC on the floor and try to play with it, the car just stutters and buckles a little. It does not run. Can anyone help me with my dilemma?

vxl esc will not run the 4 pole motors. You could try a castle sv2 or mmp...

Why not just replace the seized bearing? I have replaced a couple of ours.
