VXL esc blinking red and wont turn off

    Hello,

For the first time I plugged in the battery and did some testing, unfortiunatly the esc started to blink red slowly after 30 seconds while reving the motor. This is LVC I believe, then it cut off completely, only allowing the steering to work. I could also not shut off the esc even though I pressed the button several times. I then unplugg the 3s battey and stared the esc again and it worked good....for around 30 seconds once again. I checked the battery, it was fully charged around 12.6 volts, each cell had the same voltage.

Is this one of the common verry early LVC problems you believe? Is it worth sending it back and get another one, that may have the same issue? Or is it time to upgrade to some more "up do date" stuff, even though this whould be a "vxl" runner?

How ever I am using lipo buzzer as my backup, but im affraid this may be the beginning of even more problems...

That is LVC for sure. I had a thread about that not to long ago. As far as the "Early Cut-off" I'm not sure it is that common of a problem. Does it do it with other batteries too?

I only have traxxas connector on one battery, thats my hyperion 3s. Voltage checked after cut off around 12.6 the first time, still does it and now my battery is on 12.45, thats way over 11.1 to begin with. Without lvc enabled I havent seen any intreupts yet. An I run 6 minutes reving my motor with no lvc. All electronics are brand new, I havent run on the streets yet.

Yeah, today I ran like 10 or more speedruns back and forward without stop, I ran it with lvc disabled and with lipo buzzer, it worked well. I bash till the esc gives up on me, then I buy a castle mmp. 3s on vxl with lvc enabled sucks (pardon my language).

we had the same issue with digger vxl and rustler vxl -- traxxas sent all new electronics and my local hobby shop restocked his shelf since he handed them over that day

Yeah..I dont know if you can charge a 3s to more than 12.6 volts, but okay thank you for caring.
