Question how do i take my esc apart?

i just found a big slice in my red wire atached to the esc. i pulled it and it fell off, this cut is about not even 1 cm away from the esc so i cant solder it back on (cuz i dont want to burn my esc) there isnt enough wire to twist them together and tape it together, so i need to take my esc apart to take out the wire and replace it with a new traxxas 12 gage wire. i took off the bottom cover then i found a circuitboard covered with clear waterproof solid thingy. how do i take it apart to get to the red 12 gage battery wire without ruining it. pics and vids would be helpful!!

i don't think it's a wise idea to tear down the esc. it's almost impossible to this not to speak about fitting it back.
as for the soldering, i advise you to send it back to the manufacturer if the soldering is no longer ok between the esc side and the wire because it was soldered with high end soldering tools that it's used or found at the tools shop.

if i were you i would send it back to the manufacturer before i made things much worse.

I believe they charge 50 bucks to exchange a velineon motor and 75 for an esc.

which back to the point in hand is far too much on any grounds. I take it your esc is outside the 30 day limit so what have you to lose? There's no free replacement warranty on it.

I believe that you can just pull the circuit board out and you will just be left with both halves of the esc with the upper half around the wires which are attached to the board itself. Just push the top half up and out of the way a bit and then solder the two wires together. For joining the wires together just watch this

i might just screw a screw into the esc where the wire is disvonnected from and then i will soder the screw to both ends of the wire. would that work seems how a screw is a conductor?

If you are going to fix it you should do it right, otherwise just send it back and save your time. While they may fix it for a flat fee that doesn't mean go ahead and butcher it, if you aren't comfortable soldering it then send it in for repair or find someone who is.
