Happy Memorial Day! Are you checking your temps:)

I hope everybody has been able to enjoy their rc's some this weekend. It's been noticeably wam today, has anybody tweaked their setup? Or have you been too busy grilling

I know we don't have an official 'what have you done to your pede today thread?, but that's ok because the pede isn't always needing something, except maybe a fresh pack.

Feel free to add whatever to this one.

I upped my gearing to a 22 tooth pinion again. I've noticed with a loosened slipper, I can get further on the trigger for speedish runs. I've been having fun in the street around the house for the most part. 85 ambient, 110 at the top of the pack, 130 on the esc and 160 in that can. Pretty good stuff.

Any body keeping track of their temps and keeping themin check, too?

Definatly! I picked one of these up, and since I have its all temp checkin all the time! I carry it with me in my back pack, and dang good investment. Already kept me from overheating a brand new motor. Picked it up at harbor freight, on sale for 29.99 from original price of 59.99. Works VERY well, and super accurate.

Btw Newbtotraxxas, I picked carry it with me in my little basher back pack with Wrenches and extra packs when im out bashing. Me too!! Its a good thing.

Sad to say however, here in ol Utah we are loaded with Races, and Air shows.... but the weather is LAME! Rainy, cold, and NOT memorial day weather. Especially on the weekend all the pools open! sad thang...

It is 90+° in Southwest Ohio. I have my Rusty geared 23/86 and my Pede 19/86 and I can only get about 15-20 min on my SPC 2s packs. The Pede even has an aluminum tranny case, and both have esc fans. The weather is not good for these trucks, lol. I am stopping at appx. 125°. I don't want to risk any damage whatsoever.

Lol, he'll yeah. It's nice to see some of us are getting to do our thing. Newbie, I like the setup with the radio!
Absoloot, nice temp gun. I'm pretty sure I'm due for an order with harbor freigh myself
Dcsally keeping things in check! I've noticed with letting the temps get up there, it almost seems like my slipper starts to give way towards the end of my pack.
    Reaper, better weather soon enough.
OG, sorry to hear about the work thing, but hey, we still got TRAXXAS.com

Mine was getting warm yesterday, but I had been running in the grass. Once I put it on pavement, temps dropped, but running 90/12 on the gears probably helped.

The temps here went from 26C 2 weeks ago to frost warning and snowfall last week. Now it has been steady rain for a few days but supposed to clear up in a couple days and be warm again. Work is so busy that my free time is very limited, and this unpredictable weather is making for near zero bash time. Hopefully it gets better real soon cuz work just isn't the same without mandatory bash breaks.

^^^ I'm like you my friend. I worked nearly 2 months straight, this was my first weekend off. We purchased the kiddos a cedar swing set and worked on it rights first 2 days. LOL I'm hoping for a little runtime today.

BTW i grilled Briscuit Friday and ribs later on today.

Had some good times with the PEDE yesterday. We are in Nags Head on vacation and its pretty warm so I have it geared kinda low 19/76, I think. I have been messing around with different spur gears lately. Fun to run it on the street here, lots of onlookers, but have slammed into a few things, like errant garbage cans and bushes.

Just hope I can make it the week without breaking something, that I can't fix. LOL.
