New jato 3.3 tires

I am going to buy the 2.8" talon tires for my jato and i was wondering if i will need to gear it differently if so what should i gear it to?

yes, with larger diameter tires you have to drop down the gearing by 1 or 2 so your second gear will engaged.

I used to ran talons on mine with the stock gears. I didn't notice any difference i still had plenty of low end power and wheel spin.

I have a very similar question, I buy JConcepts Subcultures 2.8" Tires with Traxxas All-Star 2.8" Wheels. What you propose to change on my Jato. With these tires I just drove off-road.

if you noticed that the 2nd gear takes longer to engaged you need to lower the gears.

I run 2.8'' talons and i didnt gear it any different than it came stock, and it runs like a beast!
